univadis was conceived in December 2000. It is an internet portal (or gateway) with the aim of bringing unbiased and relevant news as well as interactive and interesting content to the medical profession. It is a service from Merck Sharp & Dohme Ltd.

After 4 years univadis is now recognised as one of the most credible, professional and comprehensive sources of information for the medical community across Europe. It is used by thousands of physicians on a daily basis for its current, quality content.

univadis has partnered with premium content providers such as Reuters, SPIS (Braunwald Atlas), Bandolier and TRIP to give you the most comprehensive and up-to-date information available. Many of our authors are UK physicians led by our editor-in-chief Dr Harry Brown. All of the content comes as a direct feed from our suppliers and therefore we retain an unbiased and accurate picture of the medical world.

Our mission is to build a community of medical professionals who can interactively obtain informative content from many sources in one location. Our goal is to aid you not just in your professional life but to make sure you have a little fun along the way too. We are constantly listening to our members and implementing ideas from them to keep univadis at the forefront of medical websites and to continue to provide superior quality on-line services.

Due to the nature of the information contained on the unicadis site and the ABPI code of practice we are only able to offer univadis to UK medical professionals with a valid GMC number.
